Illegals
|
| |
After working in a staffing agency in Phoenix Arizona, it would be difficult to
honestly say that illegal immigrants are "just trying to escape the woes of their
country, and make a better life for themselves". On average, I would confiscate
somewhere between 6 and 20 poorly counterfeited documents in any given week.
What I have noticed is an upward trend of hostility towards anyone insisting on
legitimate documents and a blatant disdain for Americans in general. The polite,
hard working immigrant is the exception more than the rule, and having been born
and lived here for over 40 years, I can say that it wasn't always this way. The
illegals of the present era have evolved into a darker, less honorable generation
than their forebearers. They have, in fact brought with them a lawlessness and
disregard that breeds more of the same amongst the communities in which they
inhabit, effectively minimizing the rights of life, liberty, and the persuit of
happiness granted to all Americans.
It is rather absurd to maintain the facade that they pay the same taxes that all
Americans do. I have seen what kind of taxes the illegals pay. It's absolutely
horrifying. Many do not plan on being here long enough to even file, so they elect
to have as little as possible withheld, and judging by the complaints I have
witnessed about the paltry sum they do pay, I have no doubt that they would find a
way to get out of paying sales tax if there were ways of doing that. Additionally,
they contribute a great deal to the gang violence problems that the citizens here
are forced to deal with. They create violence, and then get top-notch health care
that they never pay for, which,of course places a heavier burden on those of us
living here and contributing to the health and well being of this great nation. To
sympathize with criminals is not an act of mercy, it is an indication of poor
judgement and misplaced priorities. Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled
masses. Do not give us condemnation and grief for standing up for what is
ethically sound, and do not give us your ungrateful wastes of a morally wounded
society.
