I am not going to see United 93. "WHY NOT? YOU'RE AN IGNORANT DICKHOLE! IT WAS ABOUT A REAL EVENT!" That's the problem entirely. Movies about real events are usually horrible. They end up adding on bullshit, making it watered-down and flashy like everything else that comes out of Hollywood's ass. If you don't believe me, look at how they've bastardized things like the attack on Pearl Harbor or the sinking of the Titanic. If I want to see a movie about a historical event, I'LL WATCH A FUCKING DOCUMENTARY (and no- A "docudrama" ISN'T A FUCKING DOCUMENTARY). They have things like The History Channel and the Discovery Channel for a fucking reason. Real movies should have robots shooting Soviets out of cannons and into brick walls. Hell, even if it wasn't about a historical event I wouldn't see it. Name one good movie that's come out in the past two years. Can you? If not it's because there aren't any, and if so then chances are that you're a bleeding heart pantywaist. They've either been remakes of old shitty movies, or brand new movies (also shitty). Not worth the trouble.
You know what they should make a movie about? The Battle of New Orleans. That's something that I'd watch. It'd have everything needed for a good movie:
- The War of 1812: Awesome
- Andrew Jackson: Badass
- American troops blowing up British androids: Historically accurate
That would be the perfect movie, and you're a COMMUNIST if you wouldn't see it.
